On 8th & 9th May, Golden Hill Community Garden operated a drop-in plants sale, hoping to raise some funds after losing the Spring Fair. There were plants available to buy at the Community Garden which is behind Horfield Prison between Longmead Avenue and Monk Road. (Use the gate nearest to Longmead Avenue.)
This plant sale is now closed, as all the vegetables plants were sold. There may still be a few flower plants for sale. More plants m,ay be made available in the next week or so.
In order to comply with social distancing, the plant stands are unmanned, although Pete Clee may be available in the area for assistance. The plants will be on the prison side of the polytunnels, opposite the frog-shaped pizza oven. The prices should be clearly displayed, and we ask that you put any payment in the transparent box on the picnic table. You will find a card there on which we would ask you to put details requested.
As well as vegetables, there is also a good selection of flowers, and more plants will become available during the coming weeks..
Thank you, and we hope that you find what you’re looking for.
