Strimmers
Although it is important to keep plots and paths tidy and free from being overrun by persistent weeds like brambles and couch grass, it is also extremely annoying to many plotholders and our neighbours to have the noise of a petrol strimmer spoiling the ambience of the allotments.
Petrol strimmers emit noise at a particularly high-pitched frequency which causes noise pollution to many. It has been agreed that petrol strimmers should only be used between the hours of 10 am and 12pm on any day of the week. It is recommended that 30 minute should be the maximum duration for a strimming session.
If you require to use a petrol strimmer outside these hours please contact your Field Rep to seek permission.
Battery-powered strimmers can be used at any time.
