Bonfire Night is back at Golden Hill

The bonfire night celebrations are returning to our Golden Hill site this year.

On Saturday 6th November 6pm – 7:30 pm, there will be a bonfire event at Golden Hill car park (near the Monk Road entrance) run by our friends at the Community Garden.

All tickets are now sold out!

Due to concerns about COVID we want to be very strict on numbers so please only come with a ticket via the Monk Rd gate so we can count you in!

Plotholders are, of course, free to watch the fireworks from your own plots but should not come in through the main car park gate from 5:00 as we’ll be counting people in.

In previous years there has been a mass exodus of about 80% of the crowd immediately after the fireworks have finished, so if you are up on your plot please do feel free to come down after the fireworks and if there’s plenty of space get a cake/samosa and a mulled drink and enjoy the fire.

This is a fundraising event for the Community Garden and the focal point will be a bonfire. There will also be refeshments for sale – samosas, cake and hot drinks including hot mulled apple juice.

The bonfire event will  coincide with the firework display over at Bishop Rd and is a great place to watch the fireworks.
