Grow Wilder – free Pesticide Workshops

As part of the Bristol Festival of Nature there are going to be two free workshops to discuss pesticide use on allotments and meet others interested in reducing or eliminating chemical use.

UWE MSc student Rebecca, who is doing a research/workshop on pesticides, will create and lead the sessions which will discuss reducing pesticide use and alternative methods. Allotment holders will also have chance to give suggestions on any support and resources they feel could be provided by Bristol City Council and Allotment Associations to help reduce pesticide use in Bristol.

The sessions will take place on:

Wednesday 15th June 10:30 – 11:30am  &
Saturday 18th June 10:30 – 11:30am
Both sessions will take place at Grow Wilder, Frenchay Park Road, BS16 1EL.

Pesticide Workshop

During the workshop we will:

  • Learn about how chemical pesticides interact with the surrounding environment
  • Share tips and techniques
  • Collectively create a strategy for using chemical pesticide alternatives and share ideas.
