Sarah Edwards Ethnobotany; Plants, Peoples, Practices
Ethnobotany is the study of the interrelationships and interactions between people and plants.
Dr Sarah Edwards is currently Plant Records Officer at the University of Oxford Botanic Garden & Arboretum and teaches Ethnobiology and Biological Conservation for the Institute of Human Sciences at Oxford. She will discuss her work as an ethnobotanist, including with First Nations communities in Australia. Her latest book, The Ethnobotanical, highlights plants of cultural significance from across the world.
