Harvest Fair at Golden Hill – Saturday 20th September
This year’s Community Garden Harvest Fair is being held on Saturday 20th September from 1pm to 4pm at our Golden Hill allotment site. Entrance through the gates behind the Prison on Monk Road.
Come and enjoy delicious food, a glorious gospel choir, a brilliant brass band and the utterly splendid folks from Kittiwake Morris will be back to wow us again! There will also be apple pressing so please bring any spare apples, and loads of free kids’ activities like junk drumming, pond dipping, vegetable sculptures and a quieter indoor space.
This year we’re aiming to have more things for actual grown ups to enjoy as well! We’ll be using our lush new shelter for a seed saving talk and demo from the extremely knowledgeable Diane Holness who runs the epic Bristol Seed Swap. Local artist Jenni Stuart will be running a gorgeous leaf printing workshop and we’ll have Chris Blake along as bike doctor to give advice on bike problems and helping with simple repairs.
