Fire danger on allotments

In early August a fire started in the Redland Green allotments that nearly spread to the school and local houses. Fortunately the fire was put out by the Fire Brigade before it could spread further from the allotment site.

This shows how easy it is for a careless spark to cause a fire which can soon get out of control. We would therefore discourage anyone from using a portable barbecue on any of our allotment sites.
